First, the difference

Sign-in and additional checks are different.

Sign-in confirms access to an account. Additional checks confirm a specific action: claiming a gift, a phone, identity or bank details.

Step by step

How to tell the checks apart

  1. Site sign-in: email and password confirm the sender and open access to their account.
  2. Device check: email, QR and a one-time code confirm a new device.
  3. Gift check: password, SMS or 2FAS Auth confirms the recipient's right to claim this specific gift.
  4. Payout check: the payment partner checks the bank details and may ask the recipient to verify their identity. Before the transfer, the recipient's name is also matched with the IBAN when the bank supports this check.
Important

Site sign-in alone does not authorise a payout, refund or change to financial details.
